Maxwell Spotts, 99 of Lebanon Valley Home, Annville, died on Thursday, December 17, 2009, at the home. He was born Tuesday, April 12, 1910 to the late Levi and Kate J. Kilmoyer Spotts in Lebanon. He worked for Bethlehem Steel Corporation and was a member of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Lebanon. He worked part-time at Harold''s Furniture. He was a member of the Men''s Brotherhood of his church, the Retired Steelworker''s, and had served as judge of elections in his former voting district. He enjoyed going to the Senior Center and the Phillies. During World War II he served as an Air Raid Warden. Surviving are daughter, Barbara Nye of Lebanon; grandchildren Michael Nye and companion Susan Scheaffer of Maytown, Jedd Nye of Annville; 3 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by wife Miriam I. Bentz Spotts (11/23/1993); brothers Chester, Allen, Levi, Ira, John Spotts; sisters Hilda Spotts, Katherine Savasito, Leah McGovern. Viewing will be from 10-11 on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc. 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be at 11AM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
