Miriam D. Landis Martel, 93, of 209 Chestnut Street, Lebanon, PA, died Friday, October 16, 2009 at Spang Crest Manor in Lebanon.
She was born September 17, 1916 to the late Alexander C. and M. Blanch Sansom Landis in Gary, IN. She was a member of St. Stephens United Church of Christ. She was a secretary for Brightbill Body Works. She was active in the choir, served on Church council and the Women''s Guild. She also was a frequent soloist at church and was involved in the sewing club.
Surviving are grandchildren Charles A. Holzer of Lebanon, Duane E. Holzer of Stafford, Virginia, David E. Elliott; great grandchild Stephen A. Holzer of Virginia; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Leo Charles Martel (12/13/1988); daughters Judith A. Martel and Phyllis M. Ensminger.
Viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2009, from 12-1PM at St. Stephens United Church of Christ at 1100 Hunters Chase Lane, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009, at 1:00 PM at St. Stephens United Church of Christ at 1100 Hunters Chase Lane, Lebanon.
Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
