Miriam E. "Mim" Young, 92, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home.
She was born on Saturday, August 16, 1919 to the late Morris Nye and Bertha Nye nee Herr in Lebanon. She was
baptised at Covenant United Methodist Church in 1920 and was a full time member in 1935. She graduated from
Lebanon High School in 1937. Miriam also worked at Thelma Kreider Catering for many years. She was involved
with the United Covenant Womens Association for 76 years, choir member, served on Chancel Guild, involved with
church missions and was a Sunday school teacher for 25+ years.
Surviving are sons Harold spouse of Nancy Young, Pocono Lake, PA, Robert spouse of Sandy Young, Lickdale;
grandchildren Christine spouse of Brian Heibel, Shannon Young, Nicole Young, Justine Young, Shawn spouse of
Jen Young; great grandchildren Madison Hopkins, Hannah Young, Austin Heibel. She was preceded in death by
husband James A. Young; sisters Josephine Etter and Dorothy Stine.
Viewing will be on Friday, August 26, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Covenant United Methodist Church 346 N.
9th Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the church.
Entombment will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Lebanon Campmeeting Association, 55 Mt. Lebanon Drive, Lebanon,
PA 17046.
