Orpha Bomberger

June 25, 1922 — January 30, 2013

Orpha Elizabeth (Boyer) Bomberger, 90, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at StoneRidge Poplar Run, Myerstown.

She was the wife of the late Mark H. Bomberger.Born in South Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late John and Lizzie (Wenger) Boyer. She graduated from South Lebanon High School. She and her husband worked together on their dairy farm for over 40 years. For many years she also worked in the dress department at Pomeroy''s store. Orpha enjoyed gardening, quilting, cooking, music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her kindness and gentle caring spirit, which served as a Godly role model to her family and friends. She grew up in the Midway Church of the Brethren. Upon marriage, she joined the Iona United Brethren Church. Later, she joined New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church of Myerstown. Orpha dedicated her life to the Lord and to helping others. She sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, helped with the bus ministry, and was an active member of the women''s missions group.

Orpha is survived by a son, J. Richard, husband of Diane, Titusville, FL; two daughters, Beverly, wife of Michael Henry, Lebanon, PA and Sharon, wife of Russell Greene of Arcadia, CA; five grandchildren, Marcia, wife of Dan Murray; Jodie, wife of James Bowers; Michelle, wife of Archibald Nyamekye; Karen Henry and Timothy Greene; and four great-grandchildren, Abigail Murray, Lucas Murray, Marina Bowers, and Archibald Nyamekye II; and a sister, Mary Jane Marinkov.

Visitation will be on Monday, Feburary 4, 2013 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, Feburay 5, 2013 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at New Beginnings Grace Brethren Church in Myerstown. Following the visitation, a service celebrating Orpha''s life will be held at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be at the Iona U.M.C. cemetery.
