Rev. Alfred W. "Freddie" Miller, 80, of Lebanon, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Providence Place Senior Living of Dover.
He was born on Monday, August 25, 1941 to the late Roger R. Beauvais and Agnes R. Beauvais-Miller nee O'Brien in Taunton, MA. He was a member of First Evangelical Congregational Church, Annville. He was a graduate of the Lancaster Bible College and held a Masters of Divinity from the Myerstown EC Seminary. He served as a Pastor for over 39 years and was stationed at St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church Pine Grove/Manbeck Rock, Bethany E.C. Tamaqua, St. Paul’s York, and First E.C. Lebanon. He lived a life of visiting and helping others, while sharing the gospel of Jesus with everyone he met. Fred was an avid vocalist and musician. He enjoyed singing in the church choir, special events and family gatherings. He was often found with a guitar in his hand. He played with several bluegrass bands, such as, Echoes of Grace, the Davis Family and many others who just wanted to jam. If you met Fred, you heard many of his jokes and stories. He enjoyed the outdoors with his children golfing, camping, hiking, hunting and gardening. He lived for his family and was most proud of his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are children Leona M. Rega and spouse Shanon of East Berlin, Angela A.R. Irwin and spouse Neil of York, Paul N. Miller and spouse Stephanie of Lebanon, Jeffrey J. Beauvais and spouse Melissa of Buck Run;
grandchildren Rachel, Aaron, and Jocelyn Rega, Derek Kelly and spouse Mary, Sarah and William Miller, Liam, Broderick, and Makenna Irwin, Eliana, Samuel, Ezekiel, Nathaniel; and baby Beauvais, great grandchild Kennedy Elizabeth Kelly. He was preceded in death by wife Linda M. Miller nee Parks; half brothers Rodney, Randy, Roger Beauvais; stepfather Clarence H. Miller.
Viewing will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 710 S. White Oak Street, Annville.
Funeral services will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the church.
Graveside services will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, on Saturday at 4pm.
