Rheta E.C. Stacy, 85, died on Monday, July 4, 2011, at Cornwall Manor.
She was born January 7, 1926, to the late Henry cohen and Florence E. Coheen (nee Werner) in Lancaster County. She was married to Alvon H. Stacy, who died June 27, 1994. She was a member of the Red Hat Society (Diversified Divas) and the Red Rose Den of Lancaster. She founded the Jamie Hoke Foundation and received the Jefferson Award from WGAL of Lancaster for that work. She was a diversified community volunteer and a founding director of Cornwall Manor.
She is survived by a daughter, Heidi H. Green spouse of James A. Green, Sr., of Lebanon; sons, Kenneth K. Stacy of Louisville, Ky., Harry P. Mitts, Jr. spouse of DeEtta Mitts of Goldsburg, N.C.; grandchildren, Nathaniel Stacy, Chandra Stacy, and Cendra Stacy of Indiana, Cassandra d. stacy of Texas, J.R. Green of Pennsylvania; step children, Felica Green of Washington, Pamela r. Harris of Pennsylvania, Kimberly A. Green of North Carolina; great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday at Cornwall Manor Chapel, 1 Boyd St., Cornwall, PA 17016.
Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, will follow the service.
