Richard J. "Dick" Gettler, 79, of Lebanon, died on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Monday, October 26, 1931 to the late Joseph Gettler and Anna Gettler nee Blair in Lebanon. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. He was in the Navy for 26 years, worked for Bethlehem Steel
for 32 years and was involved with scouting for 20 years. He was also a member of the slowpoke club.
Surviving are wife Gladys V. Gettler nee Drupp, Lebanon; son Gary spouse of Anna Gettler, Myerstown; daughter
Gail Stump, Lebanon; sons Ricky Gettler, TX, Ronald spouse of Julie Gettler, FL, Leon Gettler, Lebanon, Larry
Gettler, Lebanon; stepdaughters Anita spouse of Barry Wertz, Reinholds, Gladys A. Bressler, Newmanstown; 18
grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; brother Bruce Gettler; sister JoAnn Elliott. He was preceded in death by
brother Rodger Gettler.
Viewing will be on Sunday, December 19, 2010 from 6-8PM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland
Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, December 20, 2010 at 11:00 AM with a one hour viewing prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, following the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 510 N. Hanover Street, Lebanon, PA
