He was born on Monday, June 17, 1929 to the late Michael Rhen and Florence Rhen nee Rittle in Lebanon. He was a veteran of the Air Force in the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Annville Legion. Robert enjoyed eagles and airplanes.
Surviving are brother Dennis Rhen, McMurray, PA; sister Janet F. spouse of Thomas Sostar, Middletown; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Arthur Rhen.
