Rodney Edwards

Rodney E. Edwards, 83, of Lebanon, died on Thursday, August 06, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Wednesday, December 30, 1931 to the late Clayton W. Edwards, Sr. and Angeline Edwards nee Gettle in Lebanon. He was a member of Tabor Church and worked as a machinist at Bethlehem Steel for 30 years and later for Cornwall-Lebanon School District for 10 years. He was a veteran of the Navy in the Korean Conflict. Rodney was a member of the Navy Club, Friendship Fire Company and coached Midget football and baseball. He was an avid reader, Phillies fan and family man.
Surviving are wife Janet Y. Edwards nee Snavely; daughter Sharon E. spouse of Edward Greenebaum; son Jeffrey G. spouse of Kathy Edwards; grandchildren Seth spouse of Abby Edwards, Erin Edwards, Rebekah Greenebaum, Adam Greenebaum; brother Robert Edwards; sisters C. Marie Frey, Jane Kunder, Bonnie Gettle, Geraldine Smith; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by sister Gladys Eisenhour; brother Clayton W. Edwards, Jr.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 from 10:00-11:00AM at Christman's Funeral Home, Inc., 226 Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Memorial services on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at 11:00AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
