Russel Hitz

Russel H. "Russ" Hitz, 87, of Myerstown, died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at StoneRidge Poplar Run Nursing Home.
He was born on Sunday, July 19, 1931 to the late Landis Hitz and Lena Hitz nee Houser in Lebanon. Russ was a member of Midway Church. He worked for IBA and enjoyed walks, woodworking and antiques.
Surviving are children Dennis Hitz, Robin Balsbaugh wife of Scott, Dana Heberling husband of Susan, Gale R. Longenecker wife of James; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers Marlin H. Hitz, Earl H. Hitz; sisters Lorraine H. Zuck, Lois H. Horst wife of Melvin, Evelyn M. Brubaker wife of Rev. Paul; daughter-in-law Susan Hitz. He was preceded in death by son Russel "Butch" Hitz; brothers Carl H. Hitz and Mark H. Hitz.
Viewing will be on Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Midway Church, 13 Evergreen Road, Lebanon.
Services will be on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the church. No viewing prior to the service.
Burial will be at Grand View Memorial Park, Annville, at the convenience of the family.
