Stephen N. "Steve" Pifath, 89, of Lebanon, died on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at Spang Crest Manor.
He was born on Tuesday, January 01, 1924 to the late John Pifath and Anna Pifath nee Forgasch in Lebanon. He
was a veteran of the Army in World War II as Master Sgt and was in the 82nd Airborne. He graduated from Lebanon
Catholic and was a business major at Penn State. He worked at Bethlehem Steel and Hershey Foods. Stephen
enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, archery and was a coin and antique collector. He shared his love of antiques with
his niece Gennie.
Surviving are sons Stephen Pifath, Hershey, Michael Pifath, Lebanon; stepson Kenneth spouse of Cathy
Oxenreider, Lebanon; grandchildren Adam spouse of Amanda Oxenreider, Erin Oxenreider Mlivoncic spouse of
Drazen Mlivoncic; great grandchildren Aden Oxenreider, Aury Oxenreider,
Mia Mlivoncic; nephews William Cunha, Robert Cunha; nieces Cathy Hower, Fran Sine, Gennie Swisher.
He was
preceded in death by wife Lucille Pifath nee Houtz; sisters Mary, Catherine, Anna; brother Joseph.
Viewing will be on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Christman''s Funeral Home, Inc., 226
Cumberland Street, Lebanon.
Funeral services will be on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with full military honors, following the service.
