Personalization Services
The best way to create a personalized service for your loved one is simple: through talking about your loved one.
We'll sit down with you to remember the moments you spent with the person. We'll talk about his or her qualities, hobbies, subjects of interest and favorite places. It helps to make lists of his or her passions and achievements, as well as memories you shared together.
Whether he or she was a Philadelphia Eagles or Pittsburg Steelers fan (or not a football fan at all), there are many ways we can help you create a personalized service.
PHOTOS AND ALBUMS
You have many opportunities to display photos at a funeral service. Poster boards with photo collages can be placed on easels for display. Flatscreen TV monitors can be used to display pictures or a slideshow during visitation hours or just prior to the service. Photographs can be printed on memorial folders, registry books or urns.
VIDEOS
A DVD video is a wonderful way to share your loved one’s life with others. It's much more than a basic PowerPoint. It features personalized slides with special photos and music you provide, and we'll even create additional slides beyond what you provide to highlight your loved one even more. For example, if they loved golf or pink flowers, we'll incorporate slides featuring a golf swing or pink flowers. These videos become keepsakes you can share with your family for generations.
MUSIC
When it comes to music, you can play anything you want. It doesn't have to be hymnal music or sad music. In fact, we often play Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash or classic country. Live or pre-recorded music can be relaxing and comforting to those who have come to the service. Another way music can be used is to create a playlist with the deceased’s favorite song(s) he or she wrote or to have musically inclined family or friends perform at the funeral service.
READINGS OF POETRY & LITERATURE
Passages from the deceased’s favorite books or poems that capture the essence of life help create a service infused with wisdom and words to remember. You can also invite friends and family members to read passages or poems of their choice or write their own pieces to share.
